Oregon Coast Vacation

The Oregon Coast is 363 miles of rugged natural coastal beauty, from long sandy beaches and teeming Tide-pools to crashing waves against monolith rock. Beaches guarded by coast rain forests with rushing wild and scenic rivers. Sunsets of only the kind that the sun meeting the coast could create to awesome winter storms with pounding surf, migrating deep-sea giants, spouting Grey Whales. It is hard to pick a favorite or most beautiful season here on the Oregon Coast, it is a natural wonderland.

Roosevelt Elk (the worlds largest Elk) populate the headlands and rainforests over looking the rugged Oregon Coast line; Sea Birds keep the feeling of life of the natural type is thriving wherever you look. Great runs of King Salmon and Steelhead enter rivers and estuaries all up and down the Oregon Coast. These great rivers are only a few miles apart, cross one river on your journey and you will soon find another.

The Beaches on the entire coast are public property. In 1967 the "Oregon Beach Bill" was enacted under then Governor Tom McCall, it decreed that all land within sixteen vertical feet of the average low tide mark belongs to the people of Oregon. "Oregon's Beach Bill" guarantees the public has free and uninterrupted use of the beaches along Oregon's 363 miles of coastline. A state easement exists up to the line of vegetation. Only one other state, Hawaii, guarantees public access from the surf line to the vegetation line. The Beach Bill also directed that the ocean shore be administered as a state recreation area. The Oregon Parks and Recreation Department is charged with the protection and preservation of the recreation, scenic, and natural resource values found on the Oregon Coast shoreline.? This means on your Oregon Coast Vacation you are welcome to Oregon beaches like nowhere else in the country.
